Maifest Serenade

Each year, in January, the Maifest board unveils the junior and senior royalty families at the Serenade. It brings our community together in joyful anticipation of spring and Maifest season.

Maifest Kickoff Pinic
Wednesday, May 6, 2025
Held each Wednesday of Maifest Week, the Kickoff Picnic launches the celebration and invites the community to gather, connect, and toast to the festivities ahead. Complete with German beer, music, and a traditional saurkraut dinner.

Our Annual Events
Prost Fest
Prost Fest is our annual October fundraiser honoring traditional German Oktoberfest, benefiting our costume scholarship fund. This year, we're excited to reintroduce the Maifest Hall of Fame, with honorees announced during the event.
Maifestival
The Maifestival is a week-long celebration that brings together all the sub-events of Maifest. Held at the historic grounds of Fireman’s Park, it features five days of food and drink vendors, live music, retail booths, and a family-friendly carnival.
Parade
The Maifest Parade draws visitors from near and far to line the streets of downtown Brenham in celebration. Held on Saturday morning of Maifest weekend, the parade features classic cars, horses, performers, marching bands, and the year’s junior and senior royalty.
Coronations
The junior and senior coronations take place on Friday and Saturday evenings during Maifest weekend. With dazzling costumes, lively performances, and fun for all ages, the coronations are a beloved tradition held at the Fireman’s Park baseball field.
Former Royalty
Attire Tour
The former royalty attire tour showcases historic costumes in downtown Brenham storefronts. Honoring royalty from 5, 10, 15, and 20+ years ago, the display offers a glimpse into Maifest history and can be enjoyed the week before, during, and after the event.
