Brenham Maifest is the oldest festival in Texas, a springtime celebration of youth and community rooted in the rich German heritage of Brenham. Since 1881, this beloved tradition has brought generations together each May for parades, coronations, live music, cultural festivities, and joyful connection.
Maifest Participation
Junior Maifest
The Junior Maifest is an event meant for the youth of Washington County and the surrounding areas, aged 3 years (as of 1/1/2026) through fourth grade. Click the link below to learn more about student participation and to sign your child up today.
Jester Registration
Each coronation depends on the help of Jester participants. Jester registration is for students in fifth through eighth grade. Jesters participating in the Junior Coronation will be given the opportunity to be part of the Senior Coronation in addition to their role in the Junior celebration.
Senior Maifest
